Interior design project manager has big dreams
Job: Project manager at Interior Design Network in Naples. I was born in New York and completed college at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, specializing in interior design. I worked in Manhattan designing interior retail spaces for Liz Claiborne and The Gap. In the near future: One of my biggest professional goals is to become LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating) certified for commercial interiors. I would also like to have one of my projects published in a design magazine. Long-term goals: My long-term goal is to design a high-end hotel or casino in Dubai. Hobbies, interests, activities: Painting, scuba diving and spending time with my family. Family: Enrique Gomez, my husband of 8 years, who is also the graphic design director for Architectural Network Inc.; and one child on the way. Last book read: "The Secret," by Rhonda Byrne. Role model: Eileen Gray, 20th century artist. She was one of the most inventive designers and architects of her time. Word of advice: "Thoughts unexpressed may sometimes fall back dead."
